Dietary Aide [PRN]

Company Overview:

Every employee is a Shepherd. Above all else, Shepherds are stewards of the people and resources entrusted to them. Shepherds feed and care for all people consistent with the Fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22, Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control). Our dietary aides perform many different tasks, some of them include:

• Prepare food trays for general and therapeutic diets.

• Prepare and deliver items as requested.

• Maintain tray line in a clean, neat, and organized manner.

• Deliver food carts to patient care units. Return carts to kitchen at designated times.

• Load and oversee dishwashers and log and record wash/rinse temperatures.

• Wash specified items by hand. Example – Pots, pans, knives.

• Assist in kitchen cleaning as per facility policies.

• Assist in preparing salads, desserts, and other nourishments.

• Performs special cleaning duties using proper infection control techniques as assigned by the Dietary Manager

• Treat co-workers, residents and guests with respect and dignity.

• Perform all aspects of resident care in an environment that optimizes resident safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.

• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
