The Role
The Digital and Innovations FM Technology Manager will lead the strategy, implementation, and management of innovative technologies across the Facilities Management (FM) function. The role is responsible for identifying digital opportunities, deploying smart building technologies, optimizing FM operations through data analytics, and enhancing workplace experiences using cutting-edge solutions. Key Responsibilities 1. Digital Strategy & Innovation - Develop and execute a digital roadmap for FM aligned with organizational goals. - Lead digital transformation initiatives across FM services (e.g., maintenance, energy management, space planning). - Identify emerging technologies and trends (e.g., IoT, AI, digital twins, BMS, CAFM) relevant to the built environment. 2. Technology Implementation & Management - Oversee deployment and integration of FM technologies such as: *Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems *Building Management Systems (BMS) *Internet of Things (IoT) sensors *Workplace experience platforms and mobile apps - Ensure systems are secure, scalable, and integrated with other business platforms. 3. Data & Performance Management - Utilize data analytics and dashboards to monitor building performance, asset utilization, energy efficiency, and service quality. - Establish KPIs and metrics to track the effectiveness of FM technology solutions. - Drive data-driven decision-making within FM operations. 4. Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management - Collaborate with IT, Procurement, Sustainability, HR, and other departments to ensure alignment of technology strategies. - Act as a key liaison with external vendors, contractors, and solution providers. - Lead change management efforts to ensure adoption of new tools and processes across FM teams. 5. Sustainability & Smart Building Integration - Implement smart building technologies to support energy optimization, carbon reduction, and sustainability goals. - Support ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) reporting through reliable data collection and analysis.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience Education: *Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Smart Buildings, or related field. Experience: - 5+ years of experience in FM technology or digital transformation roles. - Proven track record of managing FM systems such as CAFM, BMS, IWMS, or CMMS. - Experience in implementing IoT, AI/ML, or automation solutions in buildings. - Familiarity with smart building concepts and sustainability technologies.
