Digital and Social Media Analytics Specialist

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE


The Regional Analytics Specialist will be the central figure for all digital insights, combining a strong background in web and social media analytics with expertise in data-driven decision-making.


This role offers the opportunity to teach and inspire colleagues, present findings to stakeholders, and play a key part in shaping the company’s strategic direction.


Success in this role requires effective teamwork, influence, stakeholder management, and the ability to communicate insights clearly across all levels of the organization.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Data Setup & Collection:


  • Align social media content pillars with PR, Social Media, and Paid teams.
  • Oversee organic and paid campaign tagging, including UTM parameters, data mapping, tracking codes, and pixels.
  • Utilize central and local tools (e.g., Contentsquare, Google Analytics 4) for traffic mapping and ensure alignment with central digital governance.
  • Explore and implement new data-related solutions and tools to enhance analytical capabilities.


Campaign Analytics:


  • Ensure the correct tracking and tagging setup for campaigns and provide near-real-time campaign reporting.
  • Map campaign traffic across various channels, integrating data for comprehensive analysis.


KPI/Goal Setting & Tracking:


  • Utilize historical data to set and track key performance measures across campaigns, activities, and projects.


Reporting & Monitoring:


  • Create dashboards using data visualization tools like Looker Studio and Power BI and ensure data connectivity across platforms.
  • Prepare and coordinate monthly web, social media, and cross-channel reports for designated stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyse cross-channel user journeys to generate relevant reports.


Insights & Business Support:


  • Provide actionable insights on local content, web pages, and channels to support business decision-making processes.
  • Continuously search for diverse data sets to generate new insights and prepare case studies to support investment decisions.


Attribution & Performance Optimization:


  • Leverage analytics data to improve marketing effectiveness and efficiency, providing top-level attribution analysis.


Social Listening, Community Management & Analysis:


  • Social Media Engagement : Manage and respond to all customer interactions across Canon-owned social media channels, addressing questions, concerns, complaints, and positive feedback. Escalate issues internally when necessary to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Social Listening: Monitor and analyze social media platforms, online communities, and other relevant sources to understand consumer sentiment, emerging trends, and brand perception. Provide regular reports and recommendations to enhance our social media strategies and engagement efforts.
  • Community Management Data & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report on data related to community engagement, customer interactions, and online forums. Develop and maintain regular reports and dashboards that track key performance indicators (KPIs), monitor social engagement, and highlight trends in community feedback. Provide actionable insights and recommend strategies to enhance community management initiatives and support stakeholder decision-making.
  • Social Listening and Brand Monitoring: Conduct ongoing social listening across platforms and online communities to understand brand perception, consumer sentiment, and trending topics. Share insights to inform social strategy and enhance engagement.
  • Google Reviews Management: Maintain up-to-date Google business profiles. Monitor and respond to reviews to uphold a positive brand reputation and address customer concerns as appropriate.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Produce monthly insight reports based on social media interactions, sentiment, and engagement trends. Share findings with cross-functional teams to support strategic decisions and improve customer experience.
  • Social Media Management: Support the internal social media team in coordinating with the agency to ensure adherence to the monthly content calendar and timely publication of scheduled posts.
