JOB TITLE: Content Coordinator
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for planning, creating, publishing, and optimizing content for World Wide Corals (WWC) and Reef-A-Palooza (RAP). The Content Manager develops content strategies, manages the content lifecycle across web, email, social media, and video platforms, and ensures consistent brand communication to support e-commerce sales, customer engagement, and event awareness. This role collaborates closely with the Web Manager, e-commerce team, RAP team, creative team, and marketing to deliver high-quality, accurate, and aligned content.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Content Strategy & Planning
- Develop and maintain aligned content strategies for WWC and RAP.
- Build and manage a year-round content calendar including promotions, livestock drops, events, announcements, blogs, newsletters, and video integrations.
- Monitor industry trends, reefing topics, and customer interests to inform future content planning.
Content Creation & Publishing
- Write and edit content for:
- Website blogs (coral care, product guides, livestock profiles).
- RAP event updates, vendor/sponsor spotlights, and educational content.
- Social platforms including IG, FB, TikTok, and YouTube community posts.
- Email newsletters and automated journeys.
- Livestock and product descriptions on the WWC website.
- Maintain or quickly acquire a high-level understanding of livestock (corals, fish, inverts).
- Assist with YouTube script outlines, shot lists, and short-form video content planning.
SEO, Analytics & Optimization
- Optimize all content using SEO best practices and keyword research specific to the reefing industry.
- Use analytics tools (GA4, Shopify Analytics, social insights) to track performance and improve future output.
- Identify content gaps and develop new assets to increase traffic, conversions, and RAP ticket sales.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with:
- Web Manager (Tommy): site structure, SEO direction, content roadmap
- E-Commerce: product descriptions, category updates, promo pages
- RAP Event Team: vendor announcements, ticket pushes, sponsor integration
- Creative/Video: visuals, graphics, thumbnails, video scripts
- Marketing: campaigns, newsletters, customer engagement initiatives
- Align content with inventory cycles, promotions, and business priorities.
Brand Voice & Consistency
- Maintain consistent WWC and RAP brand voice and messaging across all platforms.
- Ensure accuracy of livestock care information, product details, and event communications.
- Uphold brand standards for professionalism, excitement, and educational value.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3–5+ years of demonstrated experience in content management, digital marketing, or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Experience with CMS platforms (Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, or similar).
- Understanding of SEO, keyword research, and analytics tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer skills required:
- Project Management Software (ASANA)
- Video Production tools (Canva, Adobe Suite)
- Other skills required:
- Experience in reef aquatics, hobbyist markets, or enthusiast communities.
- Understanding of e-commerce marketing and event-focused content.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
