Digital illustrator

• Overview

A professional with experience in digital art and illustration is needed. There will be a wide range of projects to work on, including icons, illustrations, comics, video games, and children's books.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with clients or art directors to determine the scope of a project and create a concept that meets the client's needs and goals.

• Maintain brand consistency and high attention to small details throughout the creative process.

• Presenting illustration concepts to clients and making revisions as needed.

• Creating brilliant vector illustrations, infographics, icons, characters, backgrounds and other elements.

• Using colour, line, and other techniques to create visually appealing illustrations.

• Preparing finished illustrations for print or online use.

• Continuously updating and expanding their illustration skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Strong ability to understand and interpret the client's brief and develop illustrations that meet the project's goals.

• Strong artistic skills and the ability to create visually appealing illustrations.

• Proficiency in digital illustration software, such as Adobe Illustrator and Procreate.

• Strong attention to detail, allowing them to catch and correct any mistakes in their illustrations.

• Creativity and imagination, to develop unique and innovative illustration concepts.

• Communication skills, to effectively present illustration concepts to clients and work with team members and other stakeholders.

• Problem-solving skills, to find creative solutions to illustration challenges.

• Technical skills, to understand the technical requirements of different mediums (e.g. print, web, animation) and ensure that illustrations can be effectively produced in those mediums.

• Time management skills, to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects at once.

• Adaptability, to be able to work within a variety of industries and on different types of projects.

• Strong understanding of illustration principles, color theory, composition, and storytelling.

• Continuously updating skills and knowledge in new software, technologies, trends and best practices in the illustration industry.
