Pure Canna Co. is a fast-growing, innovation-driven cannabis brand focused on solventless rosin, functional edibles, premium flower, and cutting-edge consumer experiences. We are expanding our marketing team with a motivated, creative Digital Marketing Intern who wants to gain hands-on experience working on real campaigns, content, and brand-building initiatives.

This is not a coffee-run internship. You will work directly on active marketing projects, social campaigns, content calendars, analytics, and creative production that impact real growth.

Position Overview

As a Digital Marketing Intern, you will support our team across multiple areas of inbound marketing, including:

  • Content creation
  • Social media management
  • Email marketing
  • Campaign development
  • Analytics & reporting
  • Event support
  • CRM usage and lead-generation workflows

This role is ideal for Undergraduate or Graduate Marketing majors who are passionate about digital media, branding, and creative marketing.

What You’ll Do

Content Creation & Social Media (50 percent)

  • Assist with production of content calendars
  • Write engaging copy for social media posts across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Schedule and publish posts using tools like Later, Buffer, or Hootsuite
  • Monitor comments and DMs for community management
  • Capture behind-the-scenes content at events, product shoots, and store visits
  • Create graphics, short videos, and content drafts for review
  • Help develop campaign ideas and engagement strategies
  • Support creative photo and video shoot planning

Marketing Support (30 percent)

  • Assist with email marketing campaigns and newsletters
  • Support the creation of flyers, one-sheets, branded materials, and digital ads
  • Update website content, blog posts, and product information
  • Conduct market and competitor research
  • Maintain and organize digital assets (photo, video, logo files)
  • Assist with giveaway fulfillment, promo item organization, and event preparation

Analytics & Reporting (15 percent)

  • Track analytics across social media platforms
  • Pull performance metrics and compile weekly/monthly reports
  • Identify trends, top-performing content, and improvement opportunities
  • Help monitor campaign results across channels
  • Use Google Analytics to track website behavior and engagement

Administrative & Project Support (5 percent)

  • Maintain marketing calendars, deadlines, and project timelines
  • Assist with general daily marketing operations
  • Support team members as needed on ad hoc projects

Required Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube)
  • Understanding of basic digital marketing concepts
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Flexible schedule and ability to take initiative
  • Ability to learn new tools quickly
  • Experience with Canva or similar design platforms
  • Professionalism across in-person, phone, and video communication

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship or relevant marketing project experience
  • Experience with content creation tools (CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.)
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Klaviyo)
  • Basic video editing skills
  • Knowledge of SEO and analytics
  • Experience using scheduling tools (Later, Hootsuite, Buffer)
  • Photography or videography experience
  • Experience with Google Analytics
  • Interest in branding, cannabis, wellness, or lifestyle markets
