The Digital Center of Excellence (DCoE) is a new, fast-growing startup on a mission to elevate the global open-source digital ecosystem. We help digital professionals, agencies, suppliers, and product owners connect, collaborate, and access high-quality digital talent and resources.

Position Summary

We are seeking a tech-savvy, data-savvy, and AI-savvy Digital Marketing Intern who is intellectually curious and passionate about growth. If you love digital marketing, social media, content creation, customer research, and analytics—and want to learn at startup speed—this internship is for you.


You will help us:


  • Build and strengthen the DCoE brand
  • Grow our audience
  • Convert visitors into members
  • Conduct customer discovery
  • Launch high-impact digital marketing campaigns
  • Validate user needs and identify new product features
  • Drive explosive early growth for a high-potential SaaS platform

This is not a passive internship. You will experiment, analyze, create content, talk to users, test hypotheses, and learn how to build a real company.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Marketing & Growth

  • Support digital marketing campaigns across social media, SEO, email, AI-generated content, and paid channels
  • Develop and repurpose content for LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Substack, and other platforms
  • Help manage the DCoE brand voice across all marketing assets
  • Conduct A/B tests to improve messaging, content performance, and member conversions

Customer Discovery & User Research

  • Conduct surveys, outreach, and interviews with Drupal professionals, agencies, and product owners
  • Collect qualitative and quantitative data on user behavior
  • Synthesize insights to identify user needs, pain points, and desired features
  • Help map customer journeys and develop persona research

Data & Analytics

  • Track website traffic and behavior using Google Analytics and other tools
  • Analyze membership funnel performance
  • Identify opportunities for growth and optimization
  • Prepare data dashboards and reports for leadership

AI & Technology Enablement

  • Use AI tools to generate, enhance, or optimize content and campaigns
  • Explore new digital tools and automation opportunities
  • Assist with basic scripting, Python tasks, or database queries (preferred but not required)

Community Engagement & Outreach

  • Engage with users on social media and online communities
  • Reach out to potential members, partners, or contributors
  • Hop on video calls when needed to speak to users or gather feedback
  • Represent the DCoE brand with curiosity and enthusiasm

Ideal Candidate Profile

You are:


  • A business, marketing, communications, data science, computer science, MIS, or related student (or recent graduate)
  • A fast learner who loves technology, startups, and digital marketing
  • Fearless in experimentation—willing to try, test, learn, and iterate
  • Genuinely curious about users and why they do what they do
  • Highly comfortable with social media and content creation
  • Analytical and able to interpret data to inform decisions
  • Entrepreneurial at heart—interested in SaaS, growth hacking, and innovation
  • Collaborative, proactive, and excited about building something meaningful

Preferred Skills

(Not required but strongly preferred)


  • Experience with social media platforms and content creation
  • Familiarity with SEO, keyword research, or content optimization
  • Basic programming knowledge (Python, scripting, SQL, APIs)
  • Understanding of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, etc.)
  • Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar, Looker, etc.)
  • Interest in Drupal, open-source, web development, SaaS, or digital agencies
