EVENTS PRODUCTION LEAD

The Events Production Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the full physical and technical production of events, including techno festivals, weddings, corporate functions, brand activations, and large-scale private celebrations.

This role focuses on translating creative concepts and design plans into fully executed event environments. The position requires strong technical knowledge of stage construction, structural installations, lighting setups, and event infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has a background in architecture, interior design, or technical production and strong experience in the events industry. They must be capable of reading architectural and technical drawings provided by designers or production agencies, and supervising the full build process from planning through installation and breakdown.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Event Production Planning

  • Lead the production planning process for events, including festivals, weddings, corporate gatherings, and large private celebrations.
  • Translate creative concepts into practical production plans, including stage design, structural builds, installations, and layouts.
  • Review architectural drawings, 3D renders, and technical layouts provided by the interior designers, creative agencies, or event planners.
  • Develop detailed production timelines from initial setup through dismantling.
  • Conduct technical site inspections and feasibility assessments for event builds.

Technical Production & Stage Builds
  • Oversee the construction and installation of stages, DJ booths, structural installations, decorative builds, and event infrastructure.
  • Coordinate sound, lighting, rigging, staging, truss systems, LED screens, and technical production requirements.
  • Ensure all technical installations meet structural safety standards and venue regulations.
  • Supervise stage setups for live performances, DJs, entertainment acts, and festival programming.
  • Coordinate power distribution, generator requirements, and technical equipment placement.

Team & Vendor Management

  • Manage and supervise production crews, fabricators, carpenters, lighting technicians, rigging teams, and installation contractors.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, including stage suppliers, lighting companies, sound engineers, decorators, and rental providers.
  • Ensure all vendors follow production schedules and deliver according to approved plans.
  • Oversee on-site teams during setup days and ensure efficient workflow during installations.

On-Site Event Execution
  • Lead the on-site production process during event build days and rehearsals.
  • Ensure the venue setup matches the approved design and production plans.
  • Troubleshoot technical or structural challenges during installations.
  • Coordinate last-minute adjustments required during rehearsals or event preparation.
  • Monitor stage operations, production flow, and technical coordination during events.

Logistics & Operations
  • Plan delivery schedules for staging materials, decor elements, and technical equipment.
  • Coordinate loading, unloading, installation, and dismantling processes.
  • Ensure safe handling and proper storage of reusable event materials and production equipment.
  • Manage production storage and inventory of staging materials, trusses, props, and technical components.

Budget & Cost Control

  • Prepare production budgets for builds, equipment rentals, installations, and labor.
  • Monitor production costs and ensure projects remain within budget.
  • Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
  • Track expenses related to fabrication, logistics, and technical production.

Health & Safety

  • Ensure all temporary structures, stage builds, and installations comply with safety standards.
  • Conduct safety checks for structural builds, rigging systems, and electrical setups.
  • Ensure safe working conditions for all installation teams and production staff.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

    Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Event Production, or a related field (preferred).

    • 4–7 years of experience in events production, stage production, or festival production.
    • Strong experience in large-scale event builds, including festivals, concerts, weddings, and corporate productions.
    • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, technical layouts, and production plans.
    • Hands-on knowledge of stage construction, trussing systems, lighting structures, and temporary installations.
    • Experience managing multiple contractors and production teams.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines and high-pressure event environments.

    Preferred Skills
    • Experience in music festivals, nightlife productions, or entertainment events.
    • Knowledge of event production software or design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or

    similar.

    • Strong understanding of lighting, sound systems, rigging, and technical event

    infrastructure.

    • Experience managing complex multi-day productions and large venue setups.
