The Role

We're looking for a Storytelling & Brand Messaging Strategist who knows how to listen, translate, and elevate. You’ll be the voice behind the voice—digging into what makes each client unique and building brand messaging that feels real, resonates deeply, and performs across channels.

You’re a natural communicator who can hold your own in client conversations, manage moving parts with ease, and shape content strategies that blend creative flair with SEO-savvy. If you’ve got a mind for story and a heart for strategy, this role was made for you.

What You’ll Do

Brand & Messaging Strategy

  • Craft compelling brand narratives, messaging hierarchies, tone of voice guides, and content frameworks
  • Collaborate closely with clients to uncover what makes their brand tick—and tell that story in a way their audience feels
  • Build messaging that aligns with user needs, brand goals, and current market dynamics

Client Collaboration & Communication

  • Serve as a strategic partner and main point of contact for clients
  • Lead monthly meetings, reporting calls, and regular check-ins by email
  • Translate business goals into clear, actionable messaging and content plans

Content & SEO Strategy

  • Shape and guide website copy, landing pages, blog content, and more
  • Ensure everything you create is optimized for performance without losing the human touch
  • Stay up-to-date on SEO best practices and trends in AI-driven content

Project Management & Reporting

  • Keep timelines tight, deliverables on track, and communication crystal clear
  • Share insights and results through straightforward, helpful reporting
  • Work collaboratively with clients and internal team to bring strategies to life

Light Web Work (WordPress Preferred)

  • Support content implementation or updates via WordPress
  • Help structure web content with UX in mind
  • Know enough to talk the talk with our devs and clients

What We’re Looking For

  • A strategic thinker with strong storytelling chops
  • Proven experience crafting brand messaging and SEO-optimized content
  • Someone who listens deeply, asks smart questions, and communicates clearly
  • Comfortable managing client relationships and running projects from strategy to execution
  • Basic WordPress knowledge (you won’t be coding, but you’ll know your way around)
  • Up to speed on content trends, SEO tools, and AI/LLM developments
  • Incredibly organized, detail-obsessed, and hungry to learn

Bonus Points If You Have

  • A background in journalism, copywriting, marketing, or UX writing
  • Experience using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Surfer
  • A curious mind and a love of solving creative puzzles

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
