Role Purpose

The Digital Merchandiser is responsible for curating and optimizing the online shopping experience through product management and categorization on the website. He/she leverages customer insights to propose merchandising improvements aimed at enhancing the overall user experience. Additionally, he/she collaborates closely with the E-Commerce Trading Manager and brand teams to help develop and implement merchandising plans and strategies, aiming to maximize product visibility and drive sales.


Responsibilities

  • Implement the trading strategy for their categories in collaboration with the E-Commerce Trading Manager and brand teams.
  • Handle the categorization of product ranges, optimize existing categories, create new categories as needed, and ensure optimal visual merchandising of pages.
  • Manage the day-to-day trading of categories, including maintaining Category Landing Pages and other relevant onsite real estate.
  • Review daily merchandise reports and ensure products are categorized correctly.
  • Enhance the customer experience on the website by utilizing available tools and making improvement recommendations when applicable.
  • Develop and implement e-commerce strategies and plans that account for the differences in countries, markets, currencies, customer behaviors, and competitive landscapes to ensure localized effectiveness and relevance.
  • Manage onsite promotions in accordance with the commercial calendar.
  • Monitor onsite search and navigation, ensuring they are fully optimized to enhance the customer experience while understanding the commercial impact of improvements and suggestions.
  • Provide merchandising recommendations based on customer insights, brand strategy, e-commerce goals, and initiatives to achieve growth in revenue, site conversion, and average order size. Aim to improve user experience and enhance product discovery and content.
  • Monitor competitors' activities to understand current trends, pricing, and promotional strategies, and explore new ideas.
  • Collaborate with the relevant stakeholders to share key merchandising insights and compare these insights with consumer experiences.
  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders to manage product listings on the site, develop merchandising strategies for each category/brand, and execute sales and promotional plans.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, or Marketing, or a related field.
  • Two to four years of experience in Digital Merchandising, or a similar role.
  • Experience in the Retail is a plus.
  • Experience with analytic tools such as Google Analytics is a plus.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
