Job Summary:

As a Digital Print Operator, you will be at the core of our production process, running and maintaining digital presses to ensure each print job meets the highest quality standards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is tech-savvy, and takes pride in producing consistent, professional-grade output.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Press Operation

• Set up and operate digital presses ( Canon, Cutting machine , Vulcan sticker machine ) for small and large format jobs.
• Interpret job tickets and ensure all specifications (size, material, color, quantity) are met.
• Monitor equipment during production runs and make real-time adjustments to optimize output.

Pre-Print Setup & File Handling

• Review and RIP (Raster Image Process) files using print management software (e.g., Fiery, FreeFlow, Command Workstation).
• Ensure files are formatted correctly and troubleshoot errors prior to production.
• Coordinate with graphic designers and prepress teams to resolve file issues.

Quality Control & Finishing

• Conduct quality checks throughout and after the print job for color accuracy, registration, alignment, and overall finish.
• Perform minor finishing tasks such as cutting, folding, trimming, laminating, and binding when needed.
• Properly label and package completed jobs for delivery or shipment.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform regular preventative maintenance and cleaning of machines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and print-quality issues to reduce downtime.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Workflow & Reporting

• Maintain production logs and records, including job completion times and machine usage.
• Prioritize tasks to meet production deadlines and assist other operators when necessary.
• Notify management of inventory needs for paper stocks, toner, ink, and consumables.

Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in print production or graphic communications is a plus.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience operating digital print equipment in a production environment.
• Strong knowledge of digital printing workflows and RIP software (e.g., Fiery, Onyx).
• Familiarity with color calibration tools and ICC color profiles.
• Ability to multitask in a deadline-driven setting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting paper/media rolls up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in variable data printing (VDP) and personalization software.
• Background in both sheet-fed and roll-fed digital print technologies.
• Familiarity with print finishing and bindery equipment.
