We are seeking a service-oriented Server to join our team at Ellington Ridge Country Club. This position requires a professional who excels in both dining and banquet/event service. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, understands the elevated expectations of private club members and guests, and thrives in a refined yet fast-paced environment. As a Server, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining and event experiences while upholding the club’s high standards of service and presentation.
Responsibilities
- Greet and serve members and guests in a warm, courteous, and professional manner.
- Provide attentive service in the dining room, patio, and other club outlets as assigned.
- Execute banquet and event service for weddings, tournaments, holiday events, and member functions, including plated meals, buffets, and cocktail receptions.
- Assist with event setup and breakdown, including table settings, linens, chairs, service stations, and décor according to event specifications.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems and ensure timely, proper delivery.
- Demonstrate strong menu knowledge, including daily features, wine pairings, and special dietary accommodations.
- Anticipate member needs and personalize service to enhance the overall club experience.
- Upsell food and beverage offerings to enhance satisfaction and support club revenue goals.
- Maintain clear communication with culinary and banquet teams to ensure seamless service.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and address concerns promptly and professionally.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, banquet spaces, and service stations.
- Support team members to ensure smooth operations during high-volume periods and special events.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in restaurant, country club, hotel, or banquet service preferred
- Professional appearance and demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management and ability to multitask in both dining and event settings.
- Strong commitment to member satisfaction and personalized service.
- Basic math and POS system proficiency.
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and responsible alcohol service.
- Ability to lift and carry trays, stand for extended periods, and assist with event setup/breakdown.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special club events.
