ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Promotes and provides excellent guest service experiences to both internal and external guests.
  • Provides analyses of special events and marketing programs.
  • Serves as the database import and export for IGT Acres System.
  • Responsible for guiding the functional requirements, analysis and design of the Patron Database.
  • Participates in system development and communicates results and decisions made to management, user and I.S. personnel at the property and provides timely feedback.
  • Takes a proactive role in developing strategic use of existing information processes, as well as evaluating potential use of new processes.
  • Develops and maintains policies, procedures and standards relating to database management and monitors transaction activity.
  • Consults with and advises users of the various existing data collection sources available, their content and possible use to support Cognos.
  • Keeps all database purges scheduled and synchronized with business objectives, system restraints and data value.
  • Coordinates data distribution and collection in conjunction with execution of direct mail calendar list sorts.
  • Ensures the player database is being effectively marketed through direct mail programs.
  • Writes coupon copy for direct mailers.
  • Works with Database Analyst to create and distribute mail files for direct mail programs.
  • Communicates with outside vendors to ensure direct mail pieces are accurate and mailed in a timely manner.
  • Communicates with guests regarding mail issues and marketing questions.
  • Requests and proofs direct mail projects for accuracy and quality.
  • Maintains a dependable work attendance record with extremely infrequent absences and/or lateness.
  • Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in managing data driven-marketing campaigns preferred.
  • Must possess excellent skills in project and people management, communication and writing.
  • Professional written and verbal presentation skills are necessary.
  • Must have knowledge of multiple systems that support business objectives from both a property and brand perspective.

  • Must possess excellent guest service skills, strong telephone etiquette and be a self-starter with the ability to follow-up and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as well as to gain the cooperation of guests and fellow team members.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • This position must have, or an ability to acquire within one year, an in-depth knowledge and thorough understanding of Enterprise Policies and Procedures, governmental regulations, and technical rules relevant to their responsibilities.

COMPUTER/TECHNICAL SKILLS

Intermediate skills in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Office Suite Software, email and enterprise specific programs.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages and decimals.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The work environment is consistent with an Indian Gaming Casino in which the noise level is normally loud to very loud. Employees must be able to work in a smoking environment and must agree to maintain a Drug/Free workplace as a condition of employment with the Gila River Casino. All Gaming Facility employees must be certified/licensed, which is required for purposes of continued employment. The certification process includes a full background check.
