Bachelor’s degree in a human services field including, but not limited to: sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, psychology, Registered Nurse licensure, or Doctor of Medicine Osteopathy. Two years of related experience providing professional or direct services, including at least one year of experience working with persons with intellectual disabilities or other developmental disabilities.
Knowledge of Federal and State regulations. Ability to perform basic administrative tasks. General knowledge ofindividuals with intellectual disabilities. Knowledge of basic safety practices. Ability to accurately communicate. Abilityto utilize a computer. Ability to bend, stoop, lift, push, pull, reach, and walk. Ability to work in a group home, home-likesetting or ICF. Physical ability to work with individuals who may be physically aggressive or medically fragile. Ability tosupervise subordinates.

Immunization: If this position requires the applicant to work directly with consumers of The South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, tuberculosis () skin or blood testing must be completed prior to beginning employment. All new employees who are healthcare providers are required to provide documentation of immunity or be immunized against measles, mumps, rubella, pertussis, Varicella and Hepatitis B prior to beginning employment.
State Disaster Plan: In accordance with the State's Disaster Plan, which includes hazardous weather, employees of The South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities may be required to work in times of an emergency or disaster.
