Key Responsibilities:Clinical Leadership:
- Supervise and lead the physiotherapy department ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Design and implement evidence-based physiotherapy treatment protocols for diverse conditions including orthopedic, neurological, musculoskeletal, and post-surgical cases.
- Conduct complex assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic conditions.
- Mentor junior physiotherapists, interns, and support staff through training, case discussions, and skill development sessions.
- Monitor patient progress, review outcomes, and modify treatment plans to ensure optimal recovery.
Department Management:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the physiotherapy department, including scheduling, equipment maintenance, and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (doctors, nurses, rehabilitation experts) for integrated patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to patient care, departmental audits, and outcome measures.
- Represent the physiotherapy department in administrative meetings and contribute to policy and protocol development.
Patient & Family Engagement:
- Educate patients and caregivers on condition-specific home exercises, rehabilitation goals, and preventive care strategies.
- Lead patient awareness and engagement programs (e.g., post-surgical rehab workshops, lifestyle modification clinics).
- Maintain a patient-centric approach to care with empathy, clarity, and professionalism.
Business Enhancement:
- Collaborate with management in designing and promoting new rehabilitation packages, specialized therapy programs, and wellness services.
- Contribute to strategic planning for service expansion, marketing campaigns, and revenue growth initiatives.
- Represent the department in external partnerships, community outreach, and health camps to promote hospital services.
- Track and report key departmental KPIs, including patient satisfaction, treatment outcomes, and service utilization rates.
Innovation & Development:
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in physiotherapy and rehabilitation science.
- Introduce modern techniques, therapies, and technologies that enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Support research initiatives and clinical audits to ensure continuous improvement in therapy services.
