Role summary
Leads regional or functional transportation operations to deliver safe, compliant, on-time, cost-effective service. Translates strategy into execution through managers and site leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage regional performance: safety, service, labor, fleet/contractor capacity, budget
• Standardize operating procedures across sites; ensure audit readiness
• Own peak planning and contingency playbooks (weather, disruptions, capacity shocks)
• Lead cross-functional planning with warehouses/terminals/customer service
• Develop managers; build bench strength; handle performance management
• Manage carrier/contractor performance and service-level compliance (if applicable)

Required qualifications

• 8+ years in transportation/logistics operations; 3+ years leading managers
• Strong analytical ability (costing, productivity, root cause) and operational discipline
• Demonstrated safety leadership and compliance management
