Job Summary

The Director, Accounting is a leader on the Company’s US accounting team. This role requires hands-on SaaS industry experience and a demonstrated ability to lead accounting operations in a growing, dynamic organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements for internal, board, and bank reporting.
  • Manage and mentor accounting staff, overseeing daily workflows and future team growth.
  • Maintain and enhance the company’s accounting policies, procedures, and controls; prepare accounting memos as needed.
  • Assist with accounting integrations related to M&A transactions, a key component of Unilog’s growth strategy.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external auditors, tax preparers, and accounting advisors.
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Sales, HR, and Operations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements to strengthen financial reporting and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including operating roles within SaaS or technology organizations.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Strong analytical and systems skills; advanced Excel proficiency required.
  • M&A integration experience (accounting systems, workflows, teams) and purchase accounting knowledge are highly valued.
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven, and control-minded, with the ability to design scalable accounting processes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across functions and geographies.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple initiatives, and make sound decisions.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA a plus

Technical Skills

  • SaaS Industry experience is required.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite is required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit at a desk for 6-8 hours a day
  • Ability to work on a computer for 6-8 hours a day.
