Your Responsibilities

As the Digital Marketing Director, with proven experience in digital platforms such as social, website and email, you will be responsible for the overall digital experience with specific emphasis on website, social and digital marketing strategy.

Reporting to the VP, Director of Marketing Operations and Digital Engagement, you will be a part of Lockton’s Global Marketing & Communications organization. You will serve as a digital marketing advisor/consultant to the line of business marketing partners and manage a team of website and social media managers. Specifically, you will have diverse responsibilities in website strategy and direction, email campaign evolution, social media, reporting and analytics, and vendor/platform relations.

In this role, you will collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization, including members of Lockton senior leadership team, and will be responsible for creating and maintaining the website strategy, shaping the digital analytics story, and developing an integrated email campaign strategy. This role will play a central, hands-on approach to overseeing the day-to-day execution of Lockton’s U.S. website while collaborating across regions and lines of business.

Responsibilities

• Demonstratable experience in developing and executing effective digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including paid search, social media, email marketing, and SEO.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all digital marketing efforts are aligned with business objectives and brand guidelines.

• Act as a strategic consultant in collaborating proactively with business and marketing stakeholders to design an optimal web experience inclusive of SEO strategy and optimal UX design.

• Perform competitive analysis to understand industry trends and competitor digital activities and identify opportunities

• Oversee social media strategy and ensure alignment with broader digital experiences as it relates to strategy, reporting and analytics.

• Collaborate with regional digital managers in the UK, Europe, Australia, Asia, MENA, Latin America, and North America to share digital best practices.

• Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for website performance and programs, measure and analyze activity, and report insights/learnings to make informed decisions about website improvements and recommendations.

• Provide direction for future state email strategy and its relationship to the broader digital martech ecosystem; design and implement email marketing strategies that seamlessly integrate with broader multi-channel campaigns across digital platforms (e.g., social media, paid advertising, SEO, content marketing).

• Stay up-to-date with developments in digital marketing trends and tools, making strategic recommendations and taking advantage of new opportunities for growth and innovation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience managing and/or supporting digital strategy for a B2B brand or agency

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Communications, Digital Marketing, Journalism, PR, or related field

• Experience leading digital and/or website strategy for a global, matrixed enterprise with diverse audiences.

• Familiarity with marketing tools such as GA4 (Google Analytics), email marketing platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud), and content management systems (Contentful)

• Proven ability to deliver a digital/website strategy as well as deliver actionable results/insights back to the business.

• Experience working in the financial services insurance and/or insurance broking industry preferred but not required

Newhouse isn’t just a shelter: it’s a lifeline. As Kansas City’s first domestic violence shelter, it provides the second-largest number of beds in the area and offers unique services that break down barriers for survivors. Children make up the largest population at Newhouse, and the shelter partners with Kansas City Public Schools to ensure education continues, even when safety concerns prevent kids from attending traditional classrooms. Onsite psychologists and specialists provide critical support, and unlike many shelters, Newhouse accepts men and pets—because no one should have to choose between safety and family. “Leaving an abusive situation is one of the most dangerous times in a person’s life,” Nadia explains. “Newhouse doesn’t just offer a place to escape; it provides tools for long-term safety including legal assistance, counseling, job placement, and more. The goal is to end the cycle of violence.” Nadia’s journey with Newhouse began through a conversation with a friend who served on the board. “She told me I’d make a great board member,” Nadia says. After applying and interviewing, Nadia joined the board, bringing her insurance expertise to a diverse group of professionals—lawyers, doctors, bankers, architects—all volunteering their skills to strengthen the organization. Today, she serves on the executive committee, helping guide strategy and sustainability. The Lockton Cares Community Impact Awards celebrate Lockton Associates across the globe who go above and beyond to improve their communities through volunteering and philanthropy. Each recipient can direct a $25,000 donation to a charity of their choice, funded directly by the Lockton family. When she first learned she had been selected as a Community Impact Award recipient, her reaction was pure disbelief. Sitting in a State of the Company meeting, she listened as someone described the winner’s deep involvement with domestic violence advocacy. “I thought, Wow, that’s incredible but it can’t be me,” Nadia recalls. Even when the speaker mentioned the executive board, she still didn’t connect the dots. “It wasn’t until they said my name that it hit me. I was shocked and, honestly, felt a little silly for not realizing sooner!” That moment was more than an award announcement; it opened up conversations with coworkers about an issue that often stays hidden. “It reminded me that domestic violence is more common than we think,” Nadia says. “This recognition gave me the chance to share what Newhouse does and help others feel safe and protected. It was emotional and humbling.” Nadia plans to allocate most of her award donation to children’s programs and meals—areas hit hardest by funding cuts. “We want things to feel normal for kids, even in crisis,” she says. “This support helps keep those programs alive.” Looking ahead, Nadia’s goals are ambitious: adding more beds to meet overwhelming demand and partnering with other organizations to expand resources. “We turn away thousands of people every year because there’s not enough space,” she says. “That’s devastating. We have to keep pushing for solutions.” Working with Newhouse has changed Nadia’s perspective. “I’ve always had family and resources to help me through hard times,” she reflects. “Newhouse made me realize how lucky I am and how many barriers others face. It’s easy to assume everyone is fine, but this work reminds me that the need is real.” Professionally, her involvement has strengthened her leadership and advocacy skills. “It’s given me a deeper sense of purpose,” she says. “I want to use my voice to make a difference.” For Nadia, the Community Impact Award isn’t just recognition: it’s a reminder of Lockton’s commitment to people and purpose. “It’s amazing that we have a program that celebrates giving back,” she says. “It keeps the soul in our work. Who else does something like that?” Her message is clear: domestic violence is not a distant issue. It’s here, and the need is urgent. Through Newhouse, Nadia is helping break cycles of abuse and restore hope. “Everyone deserves to feel safe and worthy of love,” she says. “That’s what drives me.”

When Rose Miller walked into her Lockton interview five years ago, she didn’t know much about insurance. What she did know was that she had found something rare: a company that genuinely cared about its community. After 15 years in oil and gas, a COVID-related layoff had left her searching for a new path. What she discovered at Lockton was more than a job. She found her purpose. “I didn’t know giving back was a real passion until Lockton,” Rose says. “I’ve always been blessed and wanted to help people, but it never came to fruition. From day one here, I signed up for everything I could bring to Pittsburgh.” That decision changed everything. Today, Rose’s name is synonymous with service. Her volunteer resume reads like a roadmap of compassion: Harvest Street Mission, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Hosanna House, Light of Life Ministries, Living in Liberty, Latino Community Center—the list goes on. Each organization reflects her unwavering commitment to lifting those who need it most. For years, Rose has spent Sundays serving warm meals and distributing seasonal supplies to hundreds of people experiencing homelessness through Harvest Street Mission. It was during this work that she witnessed stories that reshaped her perspective—like a young woman who had been trafficked and, with support, found a job and a new beginning. “Seeing that journey was incredible,” Rose recalls. “It made me want to do more.” Her connections and desire to do more led her to Jeremiah’s Place, Pittsburgh’s only crisis nursery. Beyond childcare, the organization offers overnight accommodation for children, a store for mothers in need, and a lifeline for families fleeing unsafe situations. Rose jumped in immediately by organizing clothing drives, rallying donations, and even connecting local Lockton Producers to provide toys. When Rose learned she had won the Lockton Cares Community Impact Award, she was stunned. “I was shocked. I’d won a smaller award before, so I never thought I’d win again,” she says. “When Tom Cook started reading off names of places I’d volunteered, I thought, ‘Wow, who else is doing all this?’ Then someone next to me said, ‘Rose, that’s you!’ I was blessed. Truly blessed.” The Lockton Cares Community Impact Awards recognize Lockton Associates worldwide who go above and beyond to improve their communities through volunteering and philanthropy. Each recipient can direct a $25,000 donation to a charity of their choice, which will be funded directly by the Lockton family. For Rose, the award is more than recognition—it’s fuel for her mission. The donation will help Jeremiah’s Place renovate its new building, expand services, and continue providing safe spaces for children and mothers in crisis. “It’s going to make a real difference. They were in tears when I reached out,” she says. “They didn’t know how they were going to fund renovations.” Volunteering changed Rose’s outlook on life. “I used to have complaints about the little things. Then I’d go out on Sundays and see people with real struggles. It puts everything in perspective.” Professionally, it’s strengthened her connection to Lockton’s caring culture. “I work with amazing people who share the same passion. Our local team of Associates, Producers, and leaders is incredibly supportive. The entire Lockton group is truly amazing. It’s great to work for a company that shares the same passion you do.” Rose’s goals don’t stop here. She dreams of organizing mission trips to spread Lockton’s spirit of giving. “It’s not always about work,” she says. “Life after Lockton will still include volunteering. That will never end.” After a career pivot, Rose found more than employment: she found her passion. “I knew nothing about insurance,” she laughs. “But I found my niche here—community and giving back. I’m grateful I found a company that shares my excitement to make an impact.” Rose’s story is a powerful reminder that passion paired with purpose can transform lives—starting with one person’s decision to say, “How can I help?”

The Community Impact Award, funded by the Lockton family, recognizes Associates who exceed expectations in improving their communities through volunteerism and philanthropy. This recognition enables each award recipient to direct a $25,000 donation to a charity of their choice. Julia Klaas earned recognition for her work with Gilda's Club, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing emotional and social support to patients battling cancer. Julia's journey with Gilda's Club began three years ago when a fellow Lockton Associate asked Julia if she would be interested in joining the board. However, the work of Gilda's Club has long been close to her heart. Gene Wilder founded Gilda's Club to honor his late wife, Gilda Radner, who passed away after battling ovarian cancer. Since then, the organization has evolved into a national network that serves people of all ages by providing social and emotional support, regardless of the type of cancer. Julia found the organization when her sister was battling cancer, sending her resources from the Gilda's Club website up until her passing in 2023. Julia is on the board of Gilda's Club Kansas City (GCKC), which serves patients in both Kansas and Missouri. However, it is a smaller chapter, leading to challenges with fundraising. This is why Julia chose Gilda's Club to be the beneficiary of Lockton's Community Impact Award. "Lockton's donation provided an important boost. I was honored to be able to do that for the organization," Julia said. In 2024, Gilda's Club served 2,817 unique patients at its facility in Kansas City, MO, with a total of 6,406 visits. With funds from the Community Impact Award, their goal for 2025 is to serve 3,000 patients. "One thing about Lockton is that we are encouraged to go out and get involved," Julia said. Last year, she chaired a fundraising auction for the organization and said the support from her Lockton colleagues was unmatched. "I had so many of my colleagues and peers come. I had someone from London who was in town, and even he wanted to come. That is just the spirit of Lockton," she said. For Julia, her commitment to giving back to her community is an integral part of her identity, and when she joined Lockton, she discovered how closely the company's goals aligned with her core beliefs. "We are encouraged to take extra time to give back to our communities, and I think that is a very unique and special thing," Julia said. She shared that Gilda's Club is even making a difference in the Lockton community. When one of her colleagues called her and asked for information about Gilda's Club, she felt how valuable the organization truly is. The motto of Gilda's Club is "No one should face cancer alone," and through Julia's work and Lockton's support, she has made a lasting impact, helping the organization uphold that goal. Julia's work with Gilda's Club has already made a meaningful difference in our community, and she will continue advocating for the organization's goals far into the future. "Even when I'm off the board, I will continue to be engaged and involved in Gilda's Club," Julia said. The Community Impact Award, funded by the Lockton family, recognizes Associates who exceed expectations in improving their communities through volunteerism and philanthropy. This recognition enables each award recipient to direct a $25,000 donation to a charity of their choice. Sherri Harrison earned this recognition for her work with Operation Help a Hero (OHH), a nonprofit organization providing support to military families. Sherri's journey with Operation Help a Hero (OHH) began with a simple Google search. As the spouse of an active-duty Navy SEAL for the past 28 years, she has experienced firsthand the emotional challenges that come with military life. Always looking for ways to support other military families, Sherri brought that passion with her when she joined Lockton. Wanting to find a cause her new team could rally behind, she discovered Operation Help a Hero, which was a perfect fit for both her values and the team. Operation Help a Hero is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting American military members and their families as they prepare for separation, endure the challenges of deployment, and transition back to the U.S. The organization began as a grassroots Marine Ministries and Pen Pal group shortly after the September 11, 2001, attacks. It was founded by Cindy Farnum, who was inspired after a special event at her school. At the time, she had her middle school students welcome local Marines to the school for a Veterans' Day celebration. Over the past 24 years, the organization has evolved into a valuable resource for military families nationwide. After over three years of volunteering and fundraising for OHH, Sherri and the Lockton Southern California team have made a significant difference in the lives of military families across California, specifically through Operation Christmas Spirit, where Lockton Associates come together during the holiday season to buy gifts, gift cards, toys, and other needs of the families and wrap them. Over the years, the event has brought the Lockton San Diego/Irvine and Los Angeles teams together to collaborate on wrapping and delivering these holiday gifts. Often, families with members in the military on deployment are unable to celebrate holidays or milestones with their loved ones. This is why Sherri chose OHH to be the beneficiary of Lockton's Community Impact Award. "I experienced that myself," Sherri said. "Having two boys and with my husband on deployment over the years, I can relate to the emotional experience of worrying about my loved ones. I am aware of the need for support. I am so grateful to Lockton. It is an honor for me and an impact for OHH." Since 2022, when Sherri first introduced OHH initiatives at Lockton, Associates have raised a total of $22,110 to support nine military families through the Operation Christmas Spirit program. And each year, these family adoptions from Lockton Associates increase. In 2024, Sherri organized a full adoption of four families across California and raised a total of $12,900 to help with various challenges the families were facing. "Lockton and its Associates and Producers have been so generous over the years. Their generosity is why we have been able to increase the number of families that we have been able to adopt each year," Sherri said. Cindy Farnum, Director of OHH, said that because of both Sherri and Associates here at Lockton, support for military families through OHH is growing: "It is a huge undertaking. When Sherri reaches out to help families, I will sometimes ask if we can give her a larger family, and she always says yes. I know I can always reach out to her. One thing about Sherri is that she is always flexible and willing to offer her help when it is needed." Although Sherri's community impact through OHH has already helped many military families in a profoundly positive way, she said that she wants to continue expanding this support. "I'm hoping within Lockton, it continues to grow," she said. "We have incredible people at Lockton, and there is something to be said when we all come together to help others. That was something I saw when I first joined Lockton - not just the willingness to help others, but how it also brings our teams together." Not only will Lockton's donation help support Operation Christmas Spirit this year, but the organization also plans to use the donation to help support Operation Rack Pack. In this barracks project, volunteers will clean barracks rooms, hang welcome posters, fill fridges with drinks and food, and leave welcome home packages for Marines returning from deployment this fall. "The $25,000 Sherri earned through her hard work is game-changing for us. We will serve over 1,000 single Marines and sailors returning from deployment, 10 families through Operation Christmas Spirit, and 10 families in crisis. We sincerely appreciate the help.
