We are looking for a sharp, structured, and forward-thinking Director of Financial Strategy & Operations to drive financial governance, enhance P&L accountability, and enable data-backed decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Governance
Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure accurate accounting, timely MIS reporting, and strict adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements (GST, TDS, audits, ROC filings).
Drive annual budgeting, monthly/quarterly forecasting, and preparation of financial reports for leadership and external stakeholders.
Strengthen internal controls, compliance standards, and financial discipline across all business units.
Cash Flow, Treasury & Operational Finance
Oversee complete working capital management including payables, receivables, vendor terms, and cash optimization.
Manage treasury operations, banking relationships, and strategies to optimize cash reserves.
Ensure smooth execution of payroll processes, reimbursements, and employee expense systems.
Evaluate major spends, optimize cost structures, and guide leadership on capital allocation choices.
Strategic Finance & Business Partnering
Partner closely with founders on fundraising initiatives (equity and debt), investor relations, and preparation of board materials.
Build and refine financial models for new categories, retail expansion, and international go-to-market strategies.
Consolidate data from sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain to generate holistic business insights.
Track and improve unit economics, margins, and contribution profitability across channels—D2C, quick commerce, and marketplaces.
Compliance, Risk & Systems Management
Ensure timely audits, tax submissions, and compliance documentation.
Implement scalable financial systems, automation tools, and streamlined finance workflows.
Identify operational, supply chain, and revenue-related risks; develop proactive mitigation plans.
Requirements
6–10 years of experience in business finance, FP&A, controllership, or similar leadership roles.
Prior experience in D2C, eCommerce, or consumer-centric businesses is highly preferred.
Strong command of P&L management, financial modeling, forecasting, and performance analytics.
Advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Zoho Books, Tally, or similar accounting/ERP systems is a plus.
Experience in founder-led or high-growth startup environments is a strong advantage.
Excellent analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and attention to detail.
CA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
