Job Summary
The HRIS/Payroll Director is responsible for direction and leadership of the HRIS/Payroll function, which includes managing the HRIS team, payroll team, ownership and administration of HR systems, managing relationships with owners of other key systems, and developing and maintaining key HR metrics and dashboards. This role helps build and cultivate strong partnerships between HRIS and our HR Centers of Excellence, employees, leadership and our vendors.

What Will You Do:
What You Will Do

Partner with HR leadership to understand key priorities and identify ways to share data through dashboards and regularly updated reports for ongoing managerial needs.

Design and provide organization reports, ad hoc and standard, to meet ensure business leaders have the information necessary to drive solid decisions.

Collaborate within the HR team and with other departments to provide HR data analytics and contribute to process improvements.

Provide direction and leadership of the HRIS function to ensure the team is aligned on all key initiatives, meets deadlines and communicates regularly with their key business partners.

Develop and maintain standard operating procedure documentation for HR systems and operational processes

Evaluate processing and workflow of team to drive efficiencies within the team and processes across the organization.

Manage all HR systems to ensure they are meeting company needs and are integrated and accessible via a data warehouse; ensure data integrity; implement system upgrades effectively; identify gaps; and make recommendations for improvement.

Partner with external vendors to ensure data integrations are accurate and the processes are timely and efficient.

Evaluate current practices and methods for reporting and analyzing data; research and provide expertise on trends, patterns, best practices, and issues in data.

Project Execution and Communication

Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, and timeline issues appropriately.

Lead HRIS projects including planning and scheduling, business discovery with project stakeholders and ensure milestones are achieved.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Technology, Computer Science, or related field

7-10 years of experience with enterprise level HRIS/Payroll systems

Expertise in performing quality assurance reviews of programming, testing, documentation & workplans prepared by vendors

Experience with multiple major system implementation projects requiring collaboration with cross-functional teams

Proficient in project management skills, systems development life cycle and implementing packaged solutions

Good Leadership of technical and business resources

Technical knowledge of HR, Payroll, and Health and Welfare Benefit systems and best practices

Excellent knowledge of PowerPoint, and Excel

Experience with UKG Pro
