Director of Human Resources

The Director of Human Resources is a full-time position responsible for managing the entire human resources function, providing strategic guidance and support to our leadership team, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Millyard Bank is seeking someone passionate about human resources and dedicated to delivering exceptional service to employees and management. The best candidate will be a strategic thinker with the ability to balance short-term needs with long-term goals and possess a developing business acumen and ability to understand the Bank’s business objectives. Performs all tasks in compliance with established Bank policies and procedures, with all applicable Federal and State laws, and in particular, with all rules and regulations related to the privacy of non public personal information, the Bank Secrecy Act, and Fair Lending.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Fosters a positive work environment, builds strong relationships with employees, and provides guidance and support on HR-related matters.

2. Administers the Bank’s payroll function – processing payroll and related adjustments, benefit deductions, 401k contributions, etc.

3. Manages and administers competitive benefits and compensation programs that align with the Bank’s business objectives and budget.

4. Maintains all HR-related records in compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations, to include personnel files, benefit enrollment forms, performance evaluations, etc.

5. Develops, implements, and maintains HR policies and procedures that align with the Bank’s business objectives and comply with relevant laws and regulations. Ensures compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to EEO, FLSA, and ADA.

6. Develops and implements effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent, manages the hiring process, and ensures compliance with Bank policies and procedures.

7. Assists with the development and implementation of strategies to promote employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction.

8. Provides administrative support for the Director of Corporate Administration and President & CEO, as well as other members of the Senior Management team, as directed. Duties may include, but are not limited to: taking detailed meeting minutes, producing and editing sensitive communications; and completing special projects, as assigned.

9. Performs any and all other duties assigned by the EVP Director of Corporate Administration for which the Director of Human Resources is qualified and physically able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.

Criteria for Director of Human Resources

1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

2. Minimum five years of experience in human resources, preferably in a banking or financial services industry

3. SHRM-CP or HRCI certification preferred

4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
