Director of IT – Retail ERP, Cloud & IPO Readiness

📍 Riyadh, KSA | Reports to: CEO | Direct reports: IT Ops, ERP/Odoo, DevOps, Software Engineering

We are a leading multinational retail group in the GCC, seeking a Director of IT with deep ERP (Odoo) expertise and proven leadership in enterprise IT transformation. This is not a generic IT manager role—we need a hands-on technology leader who has successfully run Odoo (or equivalent ERP) at scale, implemented cloud/DevOps best practices, and built audit-ready IT governance in preparation for IPO listing in KSA.

Role Overview

You will own the company’s technology stack end-to-end—from ERP and retail systems to cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and cybersecurity. You will translate business needs (Finance, Retail, Supply Chain, E-commerce) into reliable, secure, and scalable systems. A strong background in Odoo ERP and experience with IPO-readiness in Saudi Arabia (Tadawul listing requirements) is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

ERP (Odoo – Mandatory)

· ✔️ Lead Odoo ERP strategy, roadmap, and delivery across Finance, Inventory, Warehouse, and POS.

· ✔️ Architect integrations with E-commerce, 3PL/logistics, payment gateways, VAT/GCC taxation.

· ✔️ Oversee migrations, upgrades, UAT, cutover, and SLAs for stable post-go-live support.

Software Delivery & DevOps

· ✔️ Establish SDLC discipline: backlog management, code standards, QA, release management.

· ✔️ Build and coach internal + partner engineering teams.

· ✔️ Implement CI/CD pipelines, IaC (Terraform), containerization (Docker/K8s), automated testing.

Cloud & Infrastructure

· ✔️ Architect and operate cloud workloads (AWS strongly preferred).

· ✔️ Optimize cost, availability, and resilience for retail peaks.

· ✔️ Implement monitoring, alerting, and disaster recovery.

Security & Compliance

· ✔️ Define and enforce ISMS, IAM, incident response, vendor security.

· ✔️ Align with ISO 27001/NIST/PCI-DSS; ensure POS hardening and audit readiness.

· ✔️ Drive vulnerability management, audits, and awareness training.

IPO-Readiness & Governance

· ✔️ Lead IT governance, documentation, and control frameworks for Tadawul listing.

· ✔️ Mature change management, DR/BCP, and compliance reporting.

· ✔️ Partner with CFO/COO on IT-related aspects of financial audits.

Required Qualifications

· ✔️ 10+ years in IT leadership, with 5+ years owning ERP/mission-critical systems.

· ✔️ Mandatory: Proven Odoo leadership (Finance, Inventory, Warehouse, POS).

· ✔️ Strong SDLC and DevOps leadership (CI/CD, Docker/K8s, Terraform, GitHub/GitLab).

· ✔️ Cloud operations (AWS) with cost/performance optimization.

· ✔️ Security leadership (ISO 27001/NIST/PCI, risk & incident management).

· ✔️ Budget ownership, vendor/partner management, and team building.

· ✔️ Retail domain knowledge: POS, omnichannel, VAT in GCC.

· ✔️ Preferred: IPO-readiness/Tadawul listing experience.
