The Director of Maintenance & Engineering is responsible for ensuring that flyadeal’s fleet is maintained to the highest levels of safety, reliability, and dispatch standards. This includes full compliance with manufacturers’ maintenance plans, GACA regulations, and international aviation standards. The role also oversees new aircraft delivery acceptance, as well as communication between flyadeal and aircraft manufacturers and lessors.




Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead, direct, and manage the Maintenance & Engineering function to ensure efficient and safe operations, in compliance with GACA and international standards.
  • Develop and enforce departmental policies, operating standards, and procedures.
  • Prepare and manage the function’s annual capital and expense budget.
  • Oversee procurement of parts, tools, and equipment to avoid operational delays.
  • Monitor maintenance performance, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective actions.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure timely execution of maintenance operations.
  • Advance training programs in line with regulations, manufacturers’ requirements, and best practices.
  • Maintain proactive relationships with regulators to ensure continuous compliance.
  • Lead activities related to aircraft, engine, and component leasing, including negotiations with lessors and financiers.
  • Oversee technical deliveries, re-deliveries, retirements, and administration of lease contracts.
  • Monitor fleet compliance with third-party commitments and ensure effective performance reporting systems.
  • Provide market intelligence on aircraft leasing trends and conditions to support strategic decisions.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation/aerospace science or business administration (master’s degree preferred).
  • Valid GACA Airframe/Powerplant License.
  • Minimum 12 years of aviation industry experience, including at least 2 years in a senior management/executive role.
  • Strong knowledge of GACA and international aviation maintenance regulations.
  • Proven leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (additional languages desirable).
