Our Furniture Manufacturing client is seeking a Marketing Director to join their team full-time. This is primarily a remote role, but they will be opening an office in Chicago, IL in the coming year with the hopes that this person will be able to work in-office. In-office cadence has not yet been determined.
The ideal Marketing Director will have experience with diverse audiences (B2B and B2C) and bring an analytical, insight-driven approach to campaign planning. This role blends strategic thinking with operational execution and will serve as a connector across brands, functions, and stakeholders while elevating marketing impact, efficiency, and measurable performance.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute annual and long-range marketing plans across six brands, aligned to sales goals, product launches, and channel strategies.

Navigate varied brand positioning (luxury to mid-market) and audience segments across B2B and B2C channels, including trade, hospitality, and retail.

Lead project kickoffs for major initiatives (product launches, trade shows, campaigns), aligning stakeholders on objectives, audience insights, and execution plans.

Bring strong "why" thinking-grounding marketing decisions in data, customer insights, and business impact.

Partner with Creative and Digital teams to translate strategy into compelling, channel-optimized campaigns and assets.

Oversee development of sales tools and marketing collateral (lookbooks, catalogs, showroom materials, trade assets).

Support trade marketing and showroom activation strategies, including events, partnerships, and industry presence.

Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights to improve effectiveness and ROI.

Present results and insights to executive stakeholders, translating marketing efforts into business outcomes.

Lead and develop a small but critical marketing team (Project Manager + Coordinators), ensuring clarity, accountability, and growth.

Collaborate across Creative, Digital/Web, Communications, and Product teams to ensure integrated execution.

Own marketing operations cadence, including planning cycles, project tracking, and cross-functional alignment.

Drive adoption and optimization of marketing tools (HubSpot, GA4, Hootsuite, Asana, AI tools, etc.).
Qualifications

7-10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including leadership experience in multi-brand or complex business environments.

Experience supporting both B2B and B2C marketing strategies, ideally within design-led, lifestyle, home, or related industries.

Proven ability to manage multiple brands, audiences, and go-to-market models simultaneously.

Strength in marketing analytics, campaign performance measurement, and data-informed decision-making.

Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders.

Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable working with senior business leaders.

Experience with marketing tools such as HubSpot, GA4, project management platforms (e.g., Asana), and social/digital tools.

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications

Strong understanding of trade-driven ecosystems (designers, architects, dealers, retailers, hospitality/multi-family).

Exposure to trade shows, showroom marketing, or design industry events.

Experience working in a growing or transforming marketing organization.

Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM optimization.

MBA or graduate degree in Marketing, or Business.
