Overview
We are Sacramento Rack and Shelving, better known as "Rack Man!" on Arden Way in Sacramento. We provide warehouse pallet rack, shelving and storage solutions mostly to businesses in Northern California and Nationwide, as well as some residential projects.

Our facility is a 25,000 s.f. landmark building which is our offices, a storage warehouse and showroom on Arden Way where Arden Way and Garden Hwy. connect in between I-5 and Business 80 in Sacramento. We occupy 3 city blocks at on Arden Way with over $1M in inventory to have available for our clients. We are the leader in our industry not only locally but Nationwide.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to supervise our warehouse and yard operations and order fulfillment team and assist with sales support, which includes customer service and logistics.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in management and operations, with a proven track record in strategic planning and senior leadership. This role requires an individual who can effectively negotiate, drive business development initiatives, and oversee project management while fostering a culture of continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of business plans.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all processes.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Conduct regular assessments of operational performance and implement process improvements as necessary.
  • Facilitate strategic planning sessions to identify growth opportunities and operational challenges.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, promoting professional development and a collaborative work environment.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to support business objectives.
  • Monitor industry trends to inform strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in operations management or a similar role within a senior leadership capacity.
  • Strong skills in management, strategic planning, negotiation, business development, project management, and process improvement.
  • Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team development and performance enhancement.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • A results-oriented mindset with a commitment to achieving operational excellence.
  • VERY IMPORTANT: A HIGH LEVEL OF FORKLIFT OPERATING AND CURRENT OSHA FORKLIFT CERTIFICATION IS MANDATORY. THIS IS A "WORKING MANAGER" POSITION AND OPERATING A FORKLIFT IS REQUIRED DAILY TO ASSIST AND/OR FILL-IN FOR TEAM MEMBERS.

Pay: From $40.00 per hour
