Director of Procurement

The Director of Procurement will establish and lead Sojo Industries’ procurement function, ensuring efficient sourcing, supplier management, cost optimization, and risk mitigation. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability to build policies and systems; possesses outstanding negotiation and contracting skills; and can work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
• Establish policies, processes, and controls for sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management.
• Negotiate contracts and strategic partnerships to ensure favorable terms, quality, and service.
• Manage supplier performance, risk, and compliance.
• Collaborate across all company departments to support procurement needs.
• Work with Quality department to ensure supplier standards are established and followed
• Implement spend analytics and reporting to track savings and supplier KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement in procurement practices and vendor relationships.
• All other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive procurement experience, including leadership roles.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
• Experience implementing procurement policies, processes, and technology systems.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings and operational improvements.

Preferred Certifications

• CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CIPS, or PMP.
