Director of Strategy

Role Overview :

webook.com is looking for a Director of Strategy to establish and lead the company’s Strategy Management Office (SMO). Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer, this role will work closely with executive leadership and key stakeholders across the business.

This position is suited for someone who enjoys building functions from the ground up, creating structure in fast-moving environments, and driving strategic initiatives from concept through execution.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Management Office

  • Establish and lead the SMO, including governance models, planning processes, OKR structures, KPI reporting, and executive dashboards
  • Coordinate quarterly business reviews and strategic planning cycles
  • Track execution of company-wide strategic initiatives and ensure accountability across departments
  • Develop reporting frameworks for executive leadership and board visibility

Corporate Strategy & Expansion

  • Support the development and execution of corporate strategy across existing and future markets
  • Build market assessment and expansion frameworks for international growth opportunities
  • Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives and monitor delivery against targets

Investments & Strategic Partnerships

  • Partner with the investments team on evaluating acquisitions, partnerships, and venture opportunities
  • Support commercial and strategic due diligence processes
  • Assist with integration planning and post-deal execution where required
  • Develop frameworks for assessing strategic fit and long-term value creation

Executive & Board Engagement

  • Prepare board materials, strategic presentations, and investor-facing narratives
  • Support communication with institutional shareholders and strategic stakeholders
  • Provide strategic analysis and recommendations to senior leadership

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop members of the strategy team
  • Strengthen internal capabilities across strategic planning, execution management, and analytical problem-solving
  • Foster a high-performance and ownership-driven culture within the function


Requirements

  • 8–12 years of experience in strategy, corporate development, transformation, or a related field
  • Experience building or leading a Strategy Management Office or similar strategic execution function
  • Demonstrated ability to drive initiatives from strategy through implementation and measurable business outcomes
  • Background within high-growth, scale-up, PE-backed, VC-backed, or pre-IPO environments
  • Exposure to M&A, partnerships, investment evaluation, or market expansion initiatives
  • Experience preparing and presenting materials for senior executives or boards
  • Fluent in both Arabic and English

Preferred Background

  • Experience in live events, entertainment, sports, marketplaces, or consumer technology
  • Familiarity with the Saudi and broader MENA business landscape
  • Exposure to international expansion across multiple markets
