Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Director to lead and oversee our educational programs and initiatives. This pivotal role involves managing a dynamic team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality educational experiences, and fostering a nurturing environment for children and students. The Director will champion best practices in classroom management, childhood development, and special education, while promoting a positive, inclusive atmosphere that supports growth, learning, and well-being. Duties
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all educational programs, including daycare, preschool, camp activities, tutoring sessions, and extracurricular programs.
- Develop and implement curriculum standards that emphasize early childhood education, behavior management, and childhood development principles.
- Supervise and support teaching staff by offering ongoing training in classroom management, special education techniques, child safety protocols such as first aid, and Christian counseling when applicable.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements related to childcare, daycare operations, and safety regulations.
- Foster strong relationships with families by communicating program goals, progress updates, and addressing concerns promptly.
- Coordinate activities that promote sports coaching, theater arts, babysitting skills training, and other enrichment programs to enhance student engagement.
- Oversee the creation of a safe and nurturing environment by implementing effective child protection policies and behavior management strategies.
Qualifications
- Degree in Education, Recreation, or other applicable field; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years working in camp or childcare setting; supervisory experience preferred
- Currently teach ideal in Private/Public Schools but not required
- Ability to perform First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen (training will be provided)
- Sports Playing / Coaching Background Preferred but not Required
Skills
- Extensive experience in classroom management and working with children across various age groups.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education theories and childhood development milestones.
- Proven ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high standards of teaching quality.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to implement first aid procedures confidently and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Familiarity with special education needs and inclusive teaching practices.
- Experience in organizing camp activities, sports coaching sessions, theater productions or babysitting programs is highly desirable.
