Duties

• Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or assembling ingredients when needed
• Support food service operations by bussing tables, clearing plates, and resetting dining areas quickly and courteously
• Help with catering and banquet setups by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for use
• Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold hygiene standards in all cleaning activities
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during busy service periods

Skills

• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and sanitation practices in a food service environment
• Experience with bussing tables, food preparation, or catering operations is a plus
• Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling protocols
• Previous restaurant or hotel experience is beneficial but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key
• Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting the culinary team
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or cleaning tools is advantageous
