Dispatch Job Description
The dispatcher is essential for daily operations. It is vital to create trucking routes that keep costs down while maintain customer scheduling needs. A successful candidate for this position will be flexible, handle last minute changes, and juggle multiple things in the office during a set time. Our customers are the top priority; they must be kept in the loop of everything that is happening with their shipments.

Dispatch Responsibilities:
Develop delivery routes and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day
Collaborate with management to modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customers
Act as a communication liaison while maintaining constant communication with drivers
Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes
Monitor any sudden route changes or road construction issues and work with drivers to establish new routes for timely deliveries
Communicate errors to relevant parties, and/or updates
Some data entry
Answer incoming customer calls and provide detail information.
Consistently monitor e-mail requests and provide detailed information in a timely manner.
Prepare in-bound and outbound documentation.
Put freight out for delivery in a timely manner and make sure all are done on time
Meet all customer requirements

Dispatch Requirements:
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations
Ability to multi task
Strong knowledge of roadways and routs for the area
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, occasional evenings
Forklift experience is a plus
Able to maintain consistent and solid attendance
Must have general knowledge on how a warehouse operates
Previous experience in a related field is a plus
Familiar with Crown software
Proficiency with G-Suite (Gmail). Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is a plus.
Bilingual is a plus
