- A Dispatch Executive coordinates and manages the timely and accurate shipment of goods, ensuring efficient supply chain operations by communicating with drivers, logistics teams, and customers, managing documentation (like invoices/GRNs), tracking shipments, resolving issues, and maintaining inventory records, often using software and adhering to company standards for delivery and compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Coordination & Scheduling: Schedule and manage the dispatch of orders, coordinating loading priorities with warehouses/depots and arranging transport.
- Documentation: Generate and verify documents (invoices, E-way bills, dispatch notes, bills of lading) and maintain accurate dispatch records.
- Tracking & Communication: Monitor shipments (often via GPS) and provide status updates, liaising with drivers, transporters, and customers.
- Inventory Management: Ensure stock availability, manage FIFO (First-In, First-Out), and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve delays, discrepancies, and logistical problems promptly.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, safety regulations (speed limits, rest times), and local laws.
- Reporting: Prepare periodic reports on dispatch activities, inventory, and costs. Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is often preferred.
- Experience: Experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse/store management is beneficial.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP/SAP, MS Office, inventory software, and label printing.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication (written/verbal), organizational skills,
- problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
