Dispatcher should have Excellent organizational skills. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Candidate must be able to multitask in a fast-paced changing environment.
Manage a team of 20-21 triaxle truck drivers.
Job description: Dispatcher for busy excavation and hauling company,
- Dispatching for 20 triaxle dump trucks.
- Communicate with customers effectively via phone to gain vital job details to service the customer efficiently. Obtaining detailed job information is crucial to the customer and the company’s success.
- Geographical knowledge of Philadelphia and surrounding areas.
- Manage schedule and ensure all routes are covered. .
- Assist drivers with problems/issues as they arise (during the day or at the end of the route)
- Communicate with the owner/management of company daily to ensure adequate details are met and communicated accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with mechanic staff to appropriately handle truck maintenance as well as communications between operators, drivers, and other team members to effectively coordinate job responsibilities.
- Ensure driver qualifications are met and process new hires accordingly. .
- Work well in a fast-paced team environment. Able to pivot and make adequate decisions based on employer/customer needs.
- Computer knowledge, familiar with Microsoft office a plus.
- Flexibility to adjust hours to meet operating needs
