Job Description

Overview

A Dispatch Officer manages incoming and outgoing communications, prioritizes requests, and directs personnel or vehicles to appropriate locations efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and handle calls, messages, or service requests
  • Dispatch drivers, technicians, or emergency personnel to locations
  • Monitor routes, schedules, and real-time activities
  • Maintain communication with field staff via radio, phone, or software systems
  • Keep accurate records of calls, dispatches, and incidents
  • Prioritize tasks based on urgency (especially in emergency settings)
  • Track vehicles using GPS or dispatch systems
  • Respond to unexpected issues (delays, emergencies, breakdowns)
  • Coordinate with other departments or agencies

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Ability to multitask under pressure
  • Quick decision-making and problem-solving
  • Good knowledge of routes and geography
  • Basic computer and dispatch software skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Calm and composed in emergencies

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
  • Additional certification in dispatching or logistics (preferred)
  • Experience in customer service, logistics, or emergency services is a plus

Pay: Rs35,000.00 - Rs40,000.00 per hour
