Job purpose:
Capital - Colonial Trailways Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for the dispatch of drivers of the company. This role involves planning, organizing, directing, and managing the operations of the department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Dispatch all drivers.
• Provide drivers with itinerary and maps for assignments.
• Print and place driver reservation orders in driver boxes.
• Make lodging arrangements as needed for all overnight charters.
• Coordinate the details with sales department to prepare driver orders for drivers.
• On call 24/7 as needed to assist with dispatching changes and relief for drivers in the event of an emergency.
• Preparing and maintaining the weekly driver availability report
• Schedule PTO coverage for all drivers.
• Coordinate with Shop personnel for bus assignments and changes to charter schedule.
• Communicate effectively with other departments including but not limited to Human Resources, Compliance & Safety to coordinate effective training, corrective action, and driver compliance at all times.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills, including oral and written English.
• Able to work efficiently in high stress, fast paced environment
• Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Skilled in multitasking
• Self-motivated with a sense of initiative
• Team player who can also work independently.
• Proactive leadership skills
• Strong work ethics
• Flexible with working hours
• Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA & OSHA regulations a plus
• CDL (Class A or B) required for position.

Working conditions:
This position requires occasional overnight travel and a flexible schedule.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
