Dispatcher

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate the efficient movement of freight and transportation assets. In this dynamic role, you will serve as the central communication hub, ensuring timely dispatching of trucks, delivery schedules, and driver assignments. Your expertise in transportation management systems and strong communication skills will drive smooth operations across our supply chain network. Duties

• Coordinate and schedule freight pickups and deliveries using transportation management systems.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, warehouse teams, and clients via multi-line phone systems, ensuring clear instructions and updates.
• Monitor GPS data to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and troubleshoot delivery issues in real-time.
• Manage shipping & receiving documentation, data entry, and freight status updates with precision.
• Utilize logistics software to analyze transportation data for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and shipment records while adhering to phone etiquette and professional communication standards.
• Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and fleet management teams to coordinate shipments seamlessly across the supply chain.

Experience

• Proven experience in dispatching within a logistics or transportation environment.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems.
• Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret GPS data and transportation planning tools.
• Knowledge of freight operations, shipping & receiving procedures, and fleet management practices.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with drivers, vendors, and internal teams effectively.
• Proficiency in data entry, typing accuracy, and multi-line phone systems to handle high-volume calls efficiently.
