<Responsibilities>

• Coordinate and schedule dispatching of freight, trucks, and drivers using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine.
• Utilize GPS and GIS tools to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve delivery times.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, warehouse teams, and clients via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
• Enter data accurately into systems like AS400 and Transportation Management platforms to update shipment statuses, delivery schedules, and fleet information.
• Monitor freight shipments through GPS and GIS technology to ensure on-time deliveries and resolve any logistical issues promptly.
• Collaborate with supply chain teams to plan transportation routes, manage shipping & receiving schedules, and coordinate third-party logistics (3PL) services.
• Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities, shipment logs, and incident reports to support analysis and continuous improvement efforts.

<Requirements>

• Proven experience in dispatching within transportation management or logistics environments.
• Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret GPS data, GIS mapping, and transportation planning tools.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or SyteLine.
• Knowledge of freight operations, fleet management, shipping & receiving procedures, and 3PL coordination.
• Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette for interacting with drivers, clients, and internal teams.
• Proficiency in data entry using systems like AS400 or similar platforms; strong typing skills are essential.
• Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Basic understanding of supply chain concepts including logistics, transportation planning, and freight movement.
• Technical aptitude with GPS devices, GIS software, and transportation analysis tools for effective dispatching decisions.
