Overview
Creates, maintains, and coordinates a service-order based dispatching system to effectively dispatch work orders to system construction and repair crew. To manage outage situations using the Outage Management systems. Review and Operate Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Devices (SCADA).

A: Operations

Weight: 40

  • Monitors, operates, and interprets the SCADA system. Obtains and removes hotline tags and reclosing tags: open/close protection devices and perform other functions within the system.
  • Analyze system troubles and initiate necessary action to restore normal operations.
  • Execute load control in accordance with established load management strategies.
  • Stays informed of any conditions or major line changes that affect the normal feed status of Four County’s electrical infrastructure.
  • Create and review switching orders.
  • Creates routes and schedules and assigns service orders to appropriate personnel.
  • Processes service orders.
  • Monitor and respond to emergency calls and coordinate appropriate emergency response resources.
  • Monitor and Manage the Outage Management System to dispatch and resolve outages.
  • Report to Cooperative Response Center (CRC) of any on-call changes or irregularities in dispatching hours.
  • Notifies appropriate personnel of any outages, emergencies, and/or any other situation that would require his/her attention.

B: Safety

Weight: 30

  • System Operator Certification (SOC) is a self-taught course that is expected to be completed within three (3) years. This course is currently offered through Northwest Lineman College and will be paid for and organized by Four County Electric Membership Corporation. SOC typically requires three to four years (150+ hours) to study, test, and complete, with approximately 22 sections and exams.
  • Monitor security cameras for suspicious activity at stations.
  • Notify personnel of individuals working or entering stations.
  • Manage crews’ safety via monitoring circuit operations and fleet tracking software.
  • Maintain accurate logs for reclosing tags and hotline tags.
  • Stays familiar with procedures for handling “MAYDAY” calls and Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Ensures that all Operational Standards and Company Policies are followed.
  • Monitors the weather systems and reports on any activities that could affect normal system operations.

C: Member Relations

Weight: 20

  • Answer member inquiries via phone and either assist or route to appropriate personnel.
  • Review Pre-bill final edit report.
  • Run and review collections.
  • Stay informed of all promotional efforts or the cooperative and discuss with members all aspects and benefits of the program.
  • Represent the Cooperative as necessary or as assigned in public and community functions or projects.

D: Data Analysis

Weight: 10

  • Maintains and updates the Outage Management System.
  • Use data from OMS, SCADA, and weather stations to build out reports upon request by Engineering and Operations.
  • Assist in maintaining maps and one-line drawings by reporting any inaccuracies.
  • Ensure accurate information reporting from crews.
  • Run regular service order reports to maintain accuracy.
  • Continue to develop and innovate current processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour
