Dispatcher / School Bus

This position will be responsible for school bus dispatching, scheduling, and general office duties. Successful candidate will be proficient with computers, possess professional communication skills, have an excellent attendance history and be a team player.

FULL TIME: Start 4:30AM / Overtime hours - Available

*A Dispatcher is an hourly, non-exempt employee who, under the direct supervision of the Contract Manager, is responsible for communicating with drivers, school district personnel and parents for daily routes, trips, and extracurricular activities for our clients.*

• Provide professional and courteous customer service to ALL districts, parents, drivers, monitors, and external parties.
• Follow company policies regarding students/customer relations with parents, teachers, guardians, and the public.
• Answering phones from parents and/or drivers and dealing with inquiries/questions accordingly.
• Utilizing two-way radios to stay in constant contact with drivers during their route- receive and dispatch emergency aid when needed, in a professional and courteous manner.
• Recordkeeping organized
• Keeps records and submit reports as required. This includes all documentation for complaints, accidents, student write-ups, fuel receipts, etc. and excel data entry.
• Utilize GPS and Routing software as needed (training provided)
• Properly accounting for Call-Offs for any/all given shifts data entry for employee attendance;
• Directly assists Routing with changes and driver acknowledgement of such changes.
• Communicating with the Shop when defect DVIR books are brought in for maintenance, tagging the bus.
• Switching busses for DOT purposes
• Anything additional that is asked of the Contract Manager, Owners, or General Manager.
• CDL B or C with P and S endorsements is preferred.

Pay is negotiable based on experience ***

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
