Role Overview:


The Document Control Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and managing the document control system. The role ensures all project documentation is accurately controlled, tracked, and distributed in compliance with project requirements, standards, and procedures within a PMC and construction supervision environment.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop, implement, and maintain the project’s document control procedures and systems.
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing project documentation, including drawings, reports, correspondence, RFIs, and submittals.
  • Ensure proper document classification, numbering, filing, version control, and archiving.
  • Supervise the document control team and ensure timely processing and distribution of documents.
  • Maintain up-to-date document registers and tracking logs.
  • Coordinate with engineering, project management, and contractors to ensure accurate document flow.
  • Ensure compliance with PMC and client documentation standards and requirements.
  • Monitor document control KPIs and ensure adherence to deadlines.
  • Support audits by maintaining complete and organized records of all project documents.
  • Manage electronic document management systems (EDMS) and ensure data integrity and security.
  • Ensure all technical submissions and approvals are properly recorded and tracked.
  • Provide regular reports on document status, delays, and workflow efficiency.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 12–15 years of experience in document control, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Extensive experience in PMC and construction supervision projects , preferably in large-scale infrastructure (roads, highways, or mega projects).
  • Strong knowledge of document control systems and EDMS platforms (e.g., Aconex, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
