Our firm is currently looking for a professional Document Control Specialist based in Los Angeles, CA. The Document Control Specialist will be dedicated to supporting the large construction program at LAX Airport (Los Angeles World Airports) and will work onsite with the field construction team at LAX. The primary focus of this role will be to process, distribute, retrieve, maintain, and archive all project related records received and sent by LAWA, as well as assist in managing project and program records utilizing the PMIS system called PMWeb, and hard copy files. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Support the control, scanning, indexing, linking, hardcopy filing and distribution of documents in PMWeb. This includes internal records of the Airports Development Group (ADG), and those processed with external entities such as City Agencies, consultants, and contractors.
Manage the flow of records to project participants distribution, including correspondence, technical submittals, project reports, Requests for Information, and contract plans and specifications.
Prepare transmittals, distribute documents using PMWeb, and retrieve documents through PMWeb software.
Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
Must be a proactive, self-starter, with a results-oriented focus.
Must be sensitive to time deadlines, ensure that work is accomplished in the time frames required, and must be flexible and able to readily adapt to changing priorities.
Assist the Project Manager, the Construction Manager, and the Project Team in all matters relative to project records and the control and distribution of documents in PMWeb.
Support for project teams in organizing workflows and approvals.
Participation in project meetings, as necessary.
May be designated as a lead Document Control Technician on a project or element.
May be assigned training duties to train new staff on document controls procedures.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
Experience with scanning and converting documents to various specified file formats.
Knowledge of proper security and preservation of controlled data, documents & records.

Preferred Education and Experience:
A two year technical degree is required at a minimum. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
5-10 years’ experience with document processing and data management. Document processing experience at large international airports preferred.
Previous experience managing a Document Control effort for a large-scale ($25M+), construction project or program required. Experience in a large-scale, billion-dollar public-sector construction program highly desirable.
Previous experience in a construction environment is highly desirable.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat is required.
Experience with large-scale Document Control Software is preferred, PMWeb and/or Documentum highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience with routine Document Control hardware and software, such as scanners, optical character recognition.
Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Professional required
Certification for document control professionals highly desirable.

The salary range for this full-time role is $57,400.00-$72,733.34 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
