Overview

The Document Controller in a construction company plays a pivotal role in managing documentation related to material submittals, finishing, and fit-out processes. The Document Controller is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of documents, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and facilitating effective communication among project teams. Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive document control system for managing material submittals and project documentation.
  2. Review and verify all incoming and outgoing documents for accuracy and completeness.
  3. Coordinate with project managers and teams to ensure timely submission and approval of material submittals.
  4. Maintain a centralized repository for all project-related documents, ensuring easy retrieval and tracking.
  5. Monitor document revisions and updates, ensuring that the latest versions are distributed to relevant parties.
  6. Assist in preparing documentation for project audits and compliance checks.
  7. Provide training and support to project staff on document control procedures and best practices.
  8. Ensure that all documentation complies with company policies and industry regulations.
  9. Generate reports on document control metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  10. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to align document control processes with quality standards.
