Document Controller

As a Document Controller within our HR Government Relations Section, you’ll play a vital role in managing and safeguarding critical employee and government-related documentation. You’ll ensure everything is organized, compliant with labor laws, and ready when needed for submissions, audits, and internal processes.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Create, organize, and maintain physical and digital employee and government records
- Ensure proper filing, indexing, version control, and document accuracy
- Monitor document expiry dates (visas, IDs, work permits, licenses) and proactively flag renewals
- Prepare and submit documentation to government authorities (visas, renewals, approvals, etc.)
- Coordinate closely with the Government Relations team to ensure complete and accurate submissions
- Maintain detailed records of submissions, approvals, and official correspondence
- Ensure all documentation aligns with local labor laws, government regulations, and HR policies
- Handle sensitive employee and company information with the highest level of confidentiality
- Support internal and external audits with accurate and timely documentation
- Update employee data accurately within HR systems
- Digitize physical documents and maintain well-structured electronic archives
- Generate basic reports on document status and compliance tracking
- Liaise with HR and other departments for document-related requests
- Respond to internal queries regarding employee documentation
- Provide administrative support to the Government Relations section as needed
What You Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in document control, records management, or archive management
- Strong proficiency in document management systems, databases, and file-sharing platforms
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with document management software and cloud storage is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Excellent typing and report-writing abilities
- Solid understanding of document compliance and best practices
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented mindset
