Job Summary
Horton Interiors LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Document Controller to manage, track, and maintain all project and corporate documentation. The role is critical in ensuring document accuracy, version control, timely distribution, and compliance with company standards, client requirements, and UAE regulations across interior fit-out projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesDocument Control & Management
- Establish, maintain, and manage document control systems for all project and corporate documents.
- Control the flow of drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, method statements, shop drawings, and approvals.
- Ensure proper version control, document numbering, and filing (soft and hard copies).
- Maintain document registers and trackers for submissions, approvals, and revisions.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, designers, site teams, consultants, and clients for timely document submission and retrieval.
- Monitor document deadlines and follow up to ensure on-time approvals and distribution.
- Issue documents to relevant stakeholders in accordance with approved document control procedures.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure documents comply with company QA/QC procedures, ISO standards (if applicable), and contractual requirements.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and support internal and external audits.
- Ensure confidentiality and data security of sensitive project and company information.
Administrative Support
- Archive completed project documents for future reference and handover.
- Assist in preparing document handover packages at project completion.
- Support management with reports related to document status, pending approvals, and compliance.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Document Controller in interior fit-out, construction, or engineering companies in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of document control processes, project documentation, and approval workflows.
- Proficient in MS Office, document management systems (EDMS), and PDF tools.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD drawings and construction/interior documentation is an advantage.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of UAE construction documentation standards is preferred.
