Document Controller

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Document Controller / Maximo Operator to join our team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have a strong IT background, experience in document management, and working knowledge of IBM Maximo (CMMS).

Only candidates currently in Qatar and available to join immediately will be considered.

Key ResponsibilitiesDocument Control Duties:

• Manage, organize, and maintain technical documents, drawings, contracts, and reports.
• Ensure proper document filing, tracking, archiving, and retrieval (electronic & hard copy).
• Maintain document control registers and logs.
• Track document revisions and ensure only updated versions are circulated.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and clients for document submissions and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with company and project documentation standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of all project documents.
• Prepare periodic document control reports.

Maximo Operator Duties:

• Create, update, and close work orders in IBM Maximo.
• Maintain accurate asset data and equipment records.
• Upload technical documentation into Maximo system.
• Monitor preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Generate system reports for management review.
• Provide system support to maintenance and operations teams.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the CMMS platform.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience as a Document Controller.
• Working knowledge of IBM Maximo CMMS is mandatory.
• Strong IT background and computer proficiency.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel).
• Experience with Document Management Systems (DMS).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with Ashghal (Public Works Authority – Qatar) projects is highly preferred.
• Experience in Facilities Management, Infrastructure, or Government projects.
• Knowledge of ISO documentation standards.
• GCC experience is an advantage.
