Document Management Clerk

Job description:

England Ponticello & St.Clair, a southern California law firm, seeks a detail-oriented and organized Document Specialist to join our scan/document team. The Document Specialist will be responsible for naming, saving and managing various documents and files, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards. This role requires strong administrative skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

- Review documents for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established guidelines

- Organize and maintain physical and electronic files

- Perform naming, saving and data entry tasks to update and input information into document management systems

- Assist in the creation, editing, and formatting of documents

- Collaborate with team members to ensure proper document flow and timely completion of tasks

- Conduct quality checks on documents to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations

-Occasional answering of phones

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional community college, 4 year college or certification in document management is a plus

- Proven experience as a Document Specialist or similar role

- Proficient in data entry and file management
