In this energetic role, you’ll provide exceptional exercise, socialization, and care to dogs of all breeds and sizes. Your enthusiasm will help keep our furry clients happy, healthy, and well-adjusted while building meaningful relationships with pet owners. This paid position offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in dog behavior, body language, and training - all while enjoying the outdoors and contributing to a business that’s evolving every day!

Duties

• Pick up and drop off dogs from clients' homes, following individualized care instructions
• Lead engaging and safe walks or hikes, ensuring dogs’ physical and mental needs are met
• Monitor group dynamics and behavior, using proper handling techniques when necessary
• Reinforce basic training and good manners during outings
• Assess each dog’s temperament and well-being, flagging any concerns promptly
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards, including waste management and equipment care
• Communicate clearly and consistently with pet owners about their dog’s experience

Qualifications

• Prior experience with dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care preferred
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and/or veterinary experience is a plus
• Strong animal handling skills, including safe restraint when needed
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Ability to multitask and stay attentive in active outdoor environments
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including assisting larger dogs when necessary
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Bonus: grooming, kennel, or daycare experience
• Most importantly: a genuine love for dogs, a positive attitude, and a desire to grow
