Ruth’s Dog Walking is hiring a part-time Dog Walker to join our friendly team in Gig Harbor!

We’re a small, well-established dog walking and daycare company with a loyal client base and a reputation for providing thoughtful, reliable care.

Our team takes pride in building long-term relationships with the dogs and families we serve. Because of this, reliability and consistency are very important to us.

This role is ideal for someone looking for a low-stress side job that brings joy and purpose to their week.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, between 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM (varying times each day)

Currently averaging about 4 hours per week, with opportunity for additional hours as we grow.

What You’ll Do

• Walk and care for dogs in the Gig Harbor area
• Provide safe, attentive, and loving care during walks
• Confidently handle medium to large dogs
• Monitor dog behavior and ensure safe interactions at all times
• Communicate with pet owners and the team through our dog walking app
• Take occasional photos of pups enjoying their adventures

Requirements

• Age 18+
• Access to a reliable vehicle
• Able to commit to the role for at least 6 months (important for building bonds with our dogs and their families)
• Available Monday - Friday between 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM
• Comfortable walking medium to large dogs
• Dependable, responsible, and communicative
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather

Experience working with dogs is preferred but not required. Reliability, kindness, and enthusiasm matter most.
