Duties

• Walk dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments, ensuring they receive proper exercise and mental stimulation
• Provide pet sitting services including feeding, administering medication, grooming, and cleaning up after pets
• Monitor pets’ behavior and health during walks or visits, alerting owners or veterinary professionals if necessary
• Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills
• Maintain detailed records of pet activities, feeding schedules, and any health concerns
• Assist with basic dog training exercises to promote good behavior and obedience
• Support pet owners with special requests such as administering medication or providing companionship during their absence

Skills

• Strong knowledge of dog training techniques and animal handling best practices
• Experience working with animals in veterinary clinics, kennels, or as pet sitters or groomers
• Ability to handle dogs safely using animal restraint methods; experience with heavy lifting is a plus for managing larger breeds or equipment
• Veterinary technician or assistant experience is highly desirable for understanding pet health needs
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and address their concerns
• Animal care expertise including pet grooming, feeding routines, and basic veterinary assistance
• Familiarity with equine (horse) experience is a bonus but not required; all animal handling skills are valued

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
