Duties

• Take dogs on engaging walks tailored to each pet’s energy level and needs, ensuring safe handling and proper restraint techniques
• Provide pet sitting services that include feeding, administering medications, cleaning up after pets, and offering companionship during owners’ absence
• Monitor pets’ behavior and health during visits, reporting any concerns or unusual signs to pet owners or veterinary professionals when necessary
• Assist with basic dog training exercises to promote good behavior and socialization skills
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for all animals in your care by cleaning kennels, feeding areas, and outdoor spaces
• Handle animals with gentle confidence, utilizing animal handling skills to ensure comfort and safety for both pets and yourself
• Support pet grooming activities such as brushing or bathing when required, ensuring a positive experience for the animal

Skills

• Strong animal handling abilities with experience in pet sitting or dog walking roles
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and basic veterinary procedures
• Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable
• Familiarity with animal restraint methods to ensure safety during walks or grooming
• Ability to lift heavy objects such as bags of pet food or assist with large animals like horses if needed
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and address their concerns professionally
• Experience in pet grooming, kennel management, or animal care is a plus
• Compassionate attitude combined with energetic motivation to keep pets happy and healthy
