Duties

• Take dogs on engaging walks tailored to their energy levels and needs, ensuring proper leash handling and safety protocols.
• Provide pet sitting services that include feeding, administering medication if needed, and offering companionship to pets in their owners’ absence.
• Perform animal care tasks such as grooming, cleaning up after pets, and maintaining a clean environment.
• Handle animals with confidence using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and handlers.
• Assist with basic dog training exercises to promote good behavior and socialization.
• Monitor pet health and behavior during visits, reporting any concerns or unusual symptoms to pet owners or veterinary professionals.
• Maintain detailed records of each pet’s care routines, behaviors, and special instructions to ensure consistency across visits.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care roles such as veterinary technician or assistant.
• Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and pet grooming practices.
• Familiarity with veterinary experience or veterinary assistant skills is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for supplies or equipment related to pet care.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
• Experience with animal training methods or kennel management is advantageous.
